Wild Faith Outfitters

WFO seeks to create opportunities to explore faith

and find communion through outdoor adventure

in and around the Central Virginia region.

We provide adventures for every level,

including free or low-cost events led by volunteers,

as well as professional quality events led by trained providers.

The Girl

Kendyll was three years old when I met her.

I was already crazy about her mother,

with her huge heart, boundless empathy, and natural beauty,

but Kendyll and I connected like a couple of mischievous kids.

Kendyll showed me how to use my love of adventure (and mischief)

to strengthen relationships and inspire personal growth.

We have spent the last ten years climbing, riding, paddling,

and almost anything else we can get into outdoors.

Along the way we forged a bond that runs deeper than blood,

and she inspired me to find ways to share that experience with others.

The Group

When Kendyll entered middle school,

she invited me to volunteer with her youth group.

I didn't know where to start, so I stuck to what I knew.

After three years of football, soccer, rugby, ultimate frisbee,

nerf battles, airsoft, paintball, whitewater rafting, rock climbing,

cliff jumping, hiking, camping, downhill mountain biking......

the group is thriving and the bonds are strong.

The kids in the group are preparing to enter high school,

so we are exploring ways to pay it forward to the younger kids.

Wild Faith Outfitters was established to prepare these future river guides, MTB instructors, and climbing guides to inspire the next generation.

About Me

Brett Frazer

“You have to take risks. We will only understand the miracle of life fully when we allow the unexpected to happen.”

– Paulo Coelho

I spend a lot of time with kids, because kids know how to fall.

I never really understood how valuable that was before I met Kendyll.

I never really believed it until I met the boys in our youth group.

I spent the first 25 years of my life trying to become a Navy SEAL.

I failed.

It turns out I have scarring in my lungs that reduces oxygen intake,

and while it took years to process that failure,

one thing happened almost immediately:

I stopped being embarrassed about falling and failing in front of others.

As a result, the people around me grew more comfortable falling too.

Wild Faith Outfitters aims to create a community

where failure is expected and necessary for growth.
